Valley View from Syðsta Mörk Iceland

from the east side of the Stóri Dímon valley, South Iceland, August 7, 2016

While lava dust blew down the valley we painted high above and before leaving stopped to pick the prolific Icelandic blueberries. You can see the iconic Stóri Dímon mountain  in the last photo (in front of my hat). It’s also on the Stóri Dímon cheese tubs, a tasty Icelandic soft blue cheese, seen HERE.
