Portrait Study

From a local drawing group, most folks in this group are primarily interested in portraiture and the class is a good 4 hours long. I used ultramarine blue, alizarin crimson, and burnt sienna as my primary palette.

Orchard Pears

Lucky for me my neighbors own a large apple orchard with a few pear and cherry trees. I found this pear tree out of the way of many customers picking apples.

Late Summer Blooms

The last of my garden blooms. Zinnias were always in my mother’s  garden.  I’ve been practicing with gouache, its fun and easy to redo areas unlike watercolor.
