Doc Caffin’s house

This house was where the town doctor lived but he passed about 20 years ago. It’s a charmin Vermont farmhouse and this view is from the back. The primary palette is Prussian blue, Hansa Yellow, and Permanent Rose, painted from life on a hot summer day.

  1. The house and yard are so lush and true. The attached part has that perfect old house sag. The windows have the feel of ancient eyes. The picture reminds me that Vermont is where the houses have history and have a tale to tell.
